God Reveals His Character

Micah 7:18,19  "Who is a God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage?  He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy.  He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities, and will cast all our sins into the depeths of the sea."

SC 10  "The word of God reveals His character. He Himself has declared His infinite love and pity.  When Moses prayed, 'show me Thy glory,'  The Lord answered, 'I will make all My goodness pass before thee.'  Exodus 33:18,19.  This is His glory.  The Lord passed before Moses, and proclaimed, 'The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin.'  Exodus 34:6,7  He is slow to anger, and of great kindness, because He delighteth in mercy.'  Jonah 4:2

This describes God's character to the point that there should be no question about it.  It is so wonderful I want to repeat it, if you don't mind.  Just the adjectives, merciful, gracious, long-suffering, abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin.  Slow to anger and of great kindness and delighteth in mercy.  Is there anything missing in His character?  I think not.  I want to have a character like that don't you?   Grandma Joan
