We have all had sorrow of some kind haven't we? We have lost loved ones, close friends and others that meant a lot to us. We sorrow over our sinful condition, or at least we should. We sorrow when we see suffering, and starvation around the world. There is so much sorrow and suffering, I thought some promises for this would be appropriate, so here they are:
Psalm 30:5 "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning."
Psalm 147:3 "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
Isaiah 57:18 "I have seen his ways and will heal him; I will also lead him, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners."
1 Thessalonians 4:16,17,18 "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words."
Sorrow will flee away at that moment when we all meet at Jesus second coming. I can't wait to see my husband again, my daughter and others who have gone on before me. No more crying, sorrow and death. No more disease, pain and tears. It is worth all the effort it takes to surrender the keeping of our souls to Him who never fails us. Grandma Joan
