Divine Compassionate Love is a force that never fails. There is great comfort in the fact that God loved humanity so much that He gave His beloved Son to rescue us from sin and restore us unto His likeness. What love! There is nothing like it. We don't even understand a small portion of His love to us. We need to hunger and thirst and pray for that Divine Compassionate Love to be imparted to us.
It is very much lacking in our lives today as we see what is happening to Christian homes that are breaking up, devastating the lives of men, women and children. Our Christian hearts are lacking that Divine Compassionate Love that causes us to be like our Savior. We may not admit it but the statistics show that, that is what is happening all around us.
Matthew 5:44 "But I say unto you, 'love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.'"
How do you do that? Simply ask God to take away that awful hurt that someone has caused you by saying something evil about you or doing something evil to you. You will be surprised how the sting will go away and you still love the person that did it. It is a wonderful feeling, I have encountered this very thing. It's called Divine Compassionate Love.
Matthew 24:12 "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." Is this a description of the world today? We need to be filled with His Divine Compassionate Love, it is a necessary character trait which without it, we shall not inherit our home in heaven that God is preparing for us.
Galatians 5:13 "For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another." Without God's Divine Love we cannot serve one another, like we have been told to do. We need the compassion that goes along with the serving, because we see others as Christ saw them and with a willing heart we will serve them.
Ephesians 5:2 "And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor."
Let us walk in His Divine Compassionate Love every day and be sure to be filled with His love before we even get out of our bed in the morning. Grandma Joan
