A Successful Life

Everyone wants to be successful but not everyone is.  Do you know that the Bible has some instruction for a successful life.  It's very interesting.  I wish I had read these things many years ago, and I probably did but we get a little wiser with age and our understanding gets a little better too.

Matthew 6:32,33  "For after all these things the Gentiles seek.  for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."  That's pretty self explanatory.

Joshua 1:7  "Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go."  That's very self explanatory too.

Philippians 3:13,14  "Brethren, I do not count myself as apprehended, (arrested)  but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are  behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."  It looks like from this verse that we need a goal.  I think a goal is a good thing to have and it's good to have challenges to reach those goals and challenges make us better people and makes character.

Galatians 6:9  "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."  So don't give up, keep on keeping on as one pastor says.

I challenge you today to have a goal and reach for it with all your heart and put God first and you will succeed.  Grandma Joan
