Some people are penny pinchers and some people throw their money away like it was water and some people like to help those less fortunate then they and some people like to keep up with their neighbors, at any rate it all has something to do with money, doesn't it? Where do you fit in, or did I leave something out, probably did but you can add in your own. Let's see what God says about it.
Acts 20: 35 "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
2 Corinthians 9:6 "Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously."
Proverbs 11:25 "A generous man will prosper; He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed."
Luke 6: 38 "Give and it will be given unto you; Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use will be measured back to you."
It really is God's plan that we be generous and he rewards generosity greatly, doesn't He. I like these promises and hope that I can be that kind of generous person. I have known Christians even that are stingy and penny pinchers. I am not advocating to waste your money, but I think we should be generous in helping those in need if we have the means to do it.
