Yesterday we learned that we need to walk in the Spirit and we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh (sin) in our lives. A great promise and the only thing that is required from us is to study His word and walk in it. He does the rest, He even gives us the power to walk in the Spirit and then cleanses us from all sin. He even gives us the power to walk in the Spirit if we want to and show our earnestness in doing it. Here are some more instructions in walking or living our lives.
Ephesians 5:2 "And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us."
Ephesians 5:8 "For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light."
1 John 2:6 "He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked."
2 John 6 "This is love, that we walk according to His commandments."
2 Corinthians 5:7 "For we walk by faith, not by sight,"
Ephesians 4:1 "I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called."
Colossians 1:10 "That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God."
Let's recap a little bit. Walk in love, it's easy to love those who love us but what about the others, even those who have done us wrong. Now we have the light, are we going to walk in it? We need to walk like Jesus walked. Loving others and doing good to them as much as we are able. Also to walk according to His commandments. We need to study them in Exodus 20 and walk worthy of His calling with which we were called. We also need to please God and be fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. And how do we increase in the knowledge of God? By studying His word and really when you try to study every day you discover the joy that it brings and it makes your day so much brighter and for me it also takes away my loneliness. I love what studying His word has done for me and I sincerely hope that it has done the same for you. I love to share with you what God is doing for me, may you be abundantly blessed. Grandma Joan
