What the Holy Spirit will do for you. Continued

Yesterday we learned that the Holy Spirit will convict us of sin,  we must be born of the Spirit to enter heaven, He will also give life to our mortal bodies, He will guide us into all truth and also tell us things to come.  We have also been anointed by the Holy Spirit and we can know all things and the anointing that we have received, abides in us and we can trust that what He teaches us is truth and not a lie.  Now for some more of all these precious promises for us for today.

Micah 3:8  "But truly I am full of power by the Spirit of the Lord, and of justice and might, to declare to Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sin.."

Romans 15:16  "That I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit." The Holy Spirit sanctifies our work for God and makes it acceptable.

2 Thessalonians 2:13  "But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth."  We have been chosen for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit.  God has chosen everyone to be saved but it is our choice whether we will accept it or not.  God does not force His will on us, and has left it up to us whether we want to be with Him for eternity or not.

John 14:16,17  "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever.  The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."  The Spirit of truth is our helper and will abide with us forever if we will let Him.

Romans 14:17  "For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."  Through the infilling of the Holy Spirit we can be filled with joy.  I really like that.  In a world of chaos we can still have peace and joy and righteousness.

Galatians 5:22,23  "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.  Against such there is no law."  Think of the wonderful condition this world would be in if we just practiced the fruit of the Spirit.  We need the Holy Spirit in our lives so much.  Let's pray for His abiding presence each morning when we wake up.  How much joy that would be.  Grandma Joan
