A Divine Fellowship

I mentioned in a previous blog how I determined to make friends with a new pastor's wife and that we became fast friends.  Well, I think it's important to want to make friends with Christ so that we may become fast friends.  It's a longing in every human heart to be close to someone and I can't think of anyone to be closer to than Christ, can you?  So let's see what fellowship with Christ can mean to us.

Found in Spiritual Assemblies

Matthew 18:20  "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them."

In the Communion of Saints

Luke 24:15  "And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them."

Warms the Heart

Luke 24:32  "And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while He talked with us by the way, and while He opened to us the scriptures?

Leaves its Impress Upon the Life

Acts 4:13  "Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus."

Believers call to Divine Favor

1 Corinthians 1:9  "God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord."

Testimony an Aid to Divine Favor

1 John 1:3  "That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ."

Spiritual Receptivity the Condition of Divine Favor

Revelation 3:20  "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me."

Wow! What promises, we truly have been promised that we can have fellowship with Him and receive His Divine Favor.  What's holding us back.  I hope nothing.  I want to be included in that special fellowship, don't you?  May God bless you, so that you can enjoy that kind of fellowship and favor from Him.  Others can tell if we are fellowshipping with Christ by our speech, our conduct and many other ways.  So let's let our light shine so others may see a good reason to fellowship with Christ.  Grandma Joan
