The Life Giver

Do you want a full, happy, contented, Spiritual life?  I sure do and we can have it according to some verses that I just read.  Let's see what they say and what we can do if anything.  I am not promoting a 'do it yourself Spiritual life, because we are totally unable to live a Christian life without the Spirit's filling, we need to under-stand this in order that we won't get on a 'works trip' in trying to do it our self, it just doesn't work that way.

John 6:63  "It is the Spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing, the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."  The words that God speaks to us through His word, is life to us. Who can turn down a life from God?

Romans 8:11  "But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you."

1 Peter 3:18  "For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit."  Our sinful nature needs put to death that we may be quickened or made alive by the Spirit.

We need our minds and hearts quickened or made alive by the Spirit, also our bodies too.  It would be such a wonderful gift to receive the quickening of the Spirit, I can't think of anything that I need that is greater than the Spirit making me alive, body, soul and spirit.  Can you?  We need it so much, I just pray that you are being touched by His Spirit this morning and that you will choose to let Him control your life in such a way that you will have the best life possible in Christ.  It is real, we just need to be real with God and plead for His infilling.  He has promised to fill us  with the fullness of God in Ephesians 3:19, read it again and again until you grasp what the Spirit is telling you.  Read Ephesians 3: 14-21 for the whole meaning.  It is one of my favorite set of verses out of many.   God be with you and bless you in your walk with Him, today and always is my prayer for you.  Grandma Joan
