What Studying The Scriptures Will Do For You

I am sure that you have already seen benefits from our studies each morning if you are a regular reader, but the benefits are much greater that you have experienced already, so keep studying and even do your own, that is what I am trying to encourage you to do through giving verses to prove a point and you can look up others.  It is a mine that you can never exhaust, so keep on studying and digging until Jesus comes.  It is well worth your time.  So keep studying and digging for the treasures of eternity.

I want to share some Scriptures with you this morning that will happen to you from studying them daily.

1 Peter 1:23  "Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever."  It causes us to be born anew and be able to start a new life in Christ.

2 Timothy 3:15  "And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus."  Studying the Scriptures will make us wise unto Salvation.

John 20:31  "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name."  Through studying the Scriptures we will have life in His name.

Acts 20:32  "So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified."  Studying the Scriptures gives us an inheritance among the saved.

John 17:17  "Sanctify them by Your truth, Your word is truth."  We may be sanctified by His word because His word is truth.  This was Jesus prayer for us.

Ephesians 6:16,17  "Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one,  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."  With the word of God we can meet all of Satan's temptations and be victorious.

There are six benefits and of course this is not all of them, just want to get started realizing what some of them are.  (1) a new life in Christ, wise unto salvation, and life in His name, an inheritance among the saved, be sanctified by His word, and be able to meet all of Satan's temptations and be victorious Christians.

The Bible says in Psalms 34:8 "O, taste and see that the Lord is good, Blessed is the man who trusts in Him."

Just get a taste of studying the Scriptures, if you are sincere, just a taste is all you need and you will want more.  God bless you as you taste and see that the Lord is good.  He is very good.  Grandma Joan
