Colossians also has some awesome promises for our daily walk with Christ. Let them sink into our minds and hearts for a wonderful walk in our Christian life.
Colossians 1:13,14 "He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins." Did you notice that He has delivered us from the power of satan's darkness. I guess you would say that He has sent us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, who has redeemed us through His blood and forgiven us of our sins. How powerful is that? Think of the power in this verse.
Colossians 2:6,7 "As you have therefore received Christ Jesus, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving." Be ever so thankful that He loves you this much and don't forget to let Him know you are thankful."
Colossians 2:10-13 "And you are complete in Him who is the head of all principality and power. In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses." We are complete in Him who is the head of everything.
After we have been buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him through faith in the working of God and He has made us alive together with Him and He has forgiven us all our sins. Think of the power here also. It is hard to imagine, that is why we have to take God at His word and believe what He says. We have to have faith in the unseen, for some that is hard to do, that is why we are studying the promises, because it produces faith and trust in God.
Colossians 3:10 "And have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created Him." When we accept Christ as our Savior, we have put on newness of life through the knowledge of Him, by studying His promises which we are doing now.
As I said above, Colossians has some awesome promises for us and they are very powerful promises.
Let's practice what we are learning and grow in the grace and love of our Lord Jesus every day.
These lessons on promises are so powerful all of them and remember that is how we become partakers of His divine nature, by believing His promises. So ask for more faith each day so you may become a partaker of His divine nature. Grandma Joan
