Promises from the book of Psalm - Study 3

The Promises in Psalm are wonderful I believe.  I hope you find them wonderful as well.

Psalm 32:8  "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you withMy eye."

He is a counselor, a teacher and a guide.  That's the best we can have.  No error with God.  He is always right in His counsel, instuction and guidance.

Psalm 32:10,11  "He who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him, be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; and shout for joy, all you upright in heart."

Mercy is God's forgiveness poured out upon us in abundance when we really don't deserve it.  It will surround us and we can rejoice because He cares that much.

Psalm 33:18-22  "Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear (reverence) Him, on those who hope in His mercy; to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.  Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield.  For our heart shall rejoice in Him, because we have trusted in His holy name.  Let Your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, just as we hope in you."

Psalm 34:18  "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit."

Contrite means, remorseful, repentant, sorry.

Psalm 37:3-6  "Trust in the Lord, and do good:  Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.  Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.  Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.  He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday."

Psalm 37:11  "The meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace."

Psalm 37:23,24  The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in His ways. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand."

Psalm 37:25,26  "I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken not is descendants begging bread.  He is ever merciful and lends; and his descendants are blessed."

Don't you just love these promises, so much excellent instruction for our life's journey.  I have been extremely blessed with these promises.  Grandma Joan
