Promises from the book Revelation - Study 3

Continuing with:

Revelation 21:1-4  "NowI saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.  Also there was no more sea.  Then I John , saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, 'Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people.  God Himself will be with them and be their God.  And God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes there shall be no more death, nor sorrow nor crying.  There shall be no more pain for the former things have passed away."

These verses pretty much explain themselves. all this takes place after Christ comes to claim His people and the part that I love is that there will be no more pain, or sorrow, or tears, or death, or crying because all of this will pass away and we will be dwelling with Christ and His Father forever.

Revelation 21:6,7  "And He said to me, 'It is done', I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.  I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.  He who overcomes shall inherit all things and I will be his God and He shall be My son."

Revelation 22:14  "Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city."

Revelation 22:16  "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches.  I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star."

Revelation 22:20,21  "He who testifies to these things says, ' Surely I am coming quickly.  Amen.  Even so, come Lord Jesus!  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.  Amen."

Revelation gives us so very much hope.  It is full of promises for the future and life after this one or if we are still alive when Jesus comes, that is all the better.  Even so, come Lord Jesus soon.  We are tired of the heartache here in this world and we want to be home with you forever.  Thank you, Lord, for all these promises and for loving us so very much that you would give your life in exchange for ours if need be.  Please help us to be ready I pray.  Grandma Joan
