The book of Hebrews is a book full of detail and also instruction as well as promises and you will love these promises as we continue to study what is on Paul's mind.
Hebrews 6:17-19 "Thus God determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it with an oath. That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil."
We should know if we don't that it is impossible for God to lie. So that means that His promises are sure, what ever He says He will do. I know, it is hard for us earthlings to understand that, because we are use to people breaking their promises and not living up to their word, we have learned not to trust people and then it is hard to trust God who is more than willing to help us out of our difficulties. We can flee for refuge and lay hold of the hope set before us. This hope is an anchor to the soul, both sure and steadfast which enter the Presence which is Christ behind the veil.
Hebrews 7:25 "Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for us."
This verse tells us that He is able to save to the uttermost, meaning no matter how far down we have fallen, He can still save if we come to God through our intercessor, Christ, who always lives to make intercession for us.
Hebrews 8:12 "For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more."
Do you like these promises. They are something to think about and ponder as you go through your day. So encouraging and uplifting. I pray that these promises are helping you as you travel life's road and bump up against troubles and trials. Just turn to Jesus, He will help you, I promise. If you surrender to Him, He definitely will help you in all circumstances. Grandma Joan
